We regret to inform you that due to your BMI you cannot become a donor. Your health and safety is a priority for us, so you cannot be admitted into our donation programme for the following reasons:
- When the patent´s BMI is high, the risk of complications during the process of egg retrieval and of sedation-related complications increases.
- In the cases of overweight and obesity, the medicine dosage necessary for ovarian stimulation is significantly higher than in the case of normal weight and one should bear in mind that the expected effect of the medicine on the ovaries is not always observed, entailing a greater risk of cancelling the treatment before the egg retrieval takes place.
